Shutter Island is a mind-bending, psychological and thrilling movie. It starts with the Leonard DiCaprio’s character Teddy who is a US Marshal. He is assigned the mission of investing the eponymous Shutter Island on which a mental sanatorium is located where they keep the most dangerous patients. As the movie proceeds, it takes many U-turns, revealing fascinating facts about Teddy Daniels. He investigates the Island believing that the man who killed his wife is somewhere on that Island. He believes that Andrew Laeddis is the one who killed his wife Dolores Chanal (Michelle Williams). Teddy is seen discussing this with his partner Chuck (Mark Ruffalo) in the beginning of the movie.
The investigation continues till Teddy slowly realizes that the man he is chasing, Andrew Laeddis, is no one but himself. He learns that it was him who shot his own wife after she drowned their three kids and killed them. Dolores was mentally unstable and didn’t realized what she was doing. Andrew had ignored her condition thinking that it would get better with time. But when he finds out what she has done to their kids, he couldn’t do anything else but kill her. This was too much to take in for Andrew and it made him lose his mind. He was not an investigator but a patient of the Mental Sanatorium in the Shutter Island. He also realizes that the whole investigation was just a role play to cure him. It turns out that his friend Chuck was his Doctor who was watching on him this whole time.

Now the Mad, cagey Max is released and wants to teach Sam a few lessons.
